GiftMe.com's powerful recommendation engine makes it easy to find the perfect gift. To perform a Search for a Gift, use the Search field at the top of almost every page. Selecting criteria from the list of options (from the pull-down menus) will give you search results that matched the selected criteria.

The Search page has six different select boxes:

1. What’s your price range?
2. Who’s the gift for?
3. What is he/she interested in?
4. What’s the occasion?
5. Age?
6. Gender?

You can enter as much information as you know into one or more of the fields on the select boxes.

Once you choose the select boxes, click on either one of two buttons. The two buttons at the bottom of the page are: "Find Gifts" and "Reset." Clicking on "Find Gifts" will present you with a list of products that match the selected boxes. Clicking on "Reset" will clear all fields in the select boxes.

My search resulted in too many recommendations! How do I narrow down my search?

If your search generated too many gift recommendations, you can narrow your search by clicking "back" on your browser and select boxes (from the pull-down menus) where you did not before. Also, you may want to be more specific when choosing a gift giving occasion.

My search resulted in little or no recommendations! Where are my gift recommendations?

If your search generated few or no recommendations, you can broaden your search by clicking "back" on your browser and select certain boxes (from the pull-down menu) to "ALL." You may want to be more general when choosing a gift giving occasion, such as the option of "ALL" or "Just Because."

I know the name of the gift that I’m looking for. How do I search for that gift?

Sometimes all you have is a word or name of a gift, but aren’t sure where to start looking for that particular gift. At the top of the "Search for a Gift" page, you will see the "keyword search " feature. You may enter one or more keywords using any combination of the gift name and/or a subject heading. Type in a search word(s) or phrases, and you will immediately be presented with a list of products that match the word(s) or phrases. If you use more than one keyword, our search engine will restrict the results to gifts that each match all the keywords entered. If there is a product you would like to see recommended, please let us know by emailing feedback@giftme.com.

Okay, I clicked on a gift recommendation. Now what?

If you see a gift item you think may be a good choice, you can click on the gift image or name. A new window will show an enlarged (if available) image of the gift along with the long description of the gift. The window will also display:

1. "where to buy,"
2. "Add This Item To My Reminder List,"
3. "Add This Item To My Wish List,"
4. "Search Again ."

Where to Buy
This will take you to the vendor(s) listing which contains links to the vendor’s website and the "View Vendor Ratings" page. When the "View Vendor Ratings" link is selected, the vendor rating is displayed if available. You may add a vendor rating by clicking "Add Vendor Rating" at the bottom of the page.
